Physicians, nurses, dietitians, pharmacists, and counselors (many with diabetes themselves) help children gain skills to manage their disease within a supportive community.
All the summertime fun of a typical camp: swimming, fishing, dances, tubing, volleyball, crafts, nature studies, talent shows, and evening campfires.
The bonds that develop at Camp Kno-Koma have always been special. They are friendships that last a lifetime.

With medical professionals and counselors, many living with diabetes themselves, campers build practical skills and confidence managing diabetes in a supportive setting.

From swimming and tubing to crafts, dances, talent shows, and campfires, every day gives campers something new to try and remember.

Campers connect with kids who understand what life with diabetes is like, creating bonds and shared experiences that can last long after camp ends.

Let's break it down
What is Diabetes?
Diabetes changes the way the body uses sugar for energy. Insulin works like a key, helping sugar move from the blood into the cells where the body can use it. When the body doesn’t make enough insulin, or can’t use it properly, blood sugar can rise.
Managing diabetes takes some extra care, but it doesn’t have to get in the way of being a kid, trying new things, or having a great summer.
